Colorful living is simply leading a life worth remembering.
Life is made up of the little things that happen every day as well as the major events that come along once in a while. Transform the way you live the small stuff and your whole experience is much more enriched and fulfilling.
You don’t need to make big, radical changes: small, steady steps are just as valuable.
You don’t have to be rich and famous, a jet-setting entrepreneur, extreme adventurer or a Zen master to lead an amazing life.
Ordinary folk like you and me can do great things too.

About Scott
Hello! I’m Scott McIntyre, and I created Vivid Ways to share my experiences of colorful living and to connect with others who want to get more out of life.
I’ve always been interested in the potential of ordinary people to do great things.
My Story
Without doubt, the most defining moment of my own life came when I lost nearly 100 pounds – and started to really live my life.
While I’d always thought I was happy with who I was, I realized that I was nowhere near reaching my full potential and wasn’t taking part in life as much as I wanted to. For many years, I tried and tried again to get fit with little success. But then, one New Year’s Eve, I decided enough was enough and I decided it was time to act…
I started a successful healthy eating and fitness campaign and, in the process, became a finalist in a UK national magazine’s ‘Slimmer of the Year’ competition, winning the Scottish title.
And the best part about this experience was becoming more like the person I wanted to be. I also began to really make the most of life.
Here at Vivid Ways, I share the real-life lessons I learned that still help me today, and which I hope you too will find useful. I also take what I learned during my Honors degree and MSc in Business Studies, Psychology and Human Resource Management and apply it to help us out with the daily challenges we all face in living a colorful life.
My Journey
I knew from an early age that it’s possible to achieve your goals and ambitions when – at the age of 15 – while still in High School, I wrote and edited a newspaper column. I enjoyed the opportunity to be a ‘schoolboy’ journalist.
After leaving student life behind, I became the youngest person ever to lecture in Business Administration at Falkirk College of Technology, in Scotland.
My early career saw me specialising in recruitment and selection where I used the techniques of matching the best people to the right jobs. I then moved into training and development where the aim is to help equip others with the skills they need to excel at what they do.
Along the way, I’ve appeared on 5 television game shows – yes, 5! My prizes included an all expenses paid holiday and money… but my biggest claim to fame is winning the ‘Weakest Link’ and surviving an encounter with the Queen of Mean, Anne Robinson. You can watch the video of my television appearance here.
Now, I want to share everything I’ve discovered about colorful living, and to connect with other people who want to make the most of their life.
I hope you too will become part of the growing and vibrant community here at Vivid Ways.
